Western Hunt Attire for Western Members & Guests attending Regular (Non-Invitational/Special) Hunts…

Each Hunt prescribes the proper fox hunting attire for their hunt. Glenmore’s attire was established in the early 1930’s and reflects the traditional Hunt colors, vest, buttons, etc. as registered with the Masters of Foxhounds Association.

While listed below is the New Glenmore Western Attire, the official position of the Hunt is: “Dress and groom as correctly as you can afford; it is a compliment to landowners, officers, staff, members, and the sport when you look your best.”

Feel free to wear riding clothing you find comfortable and appropriate for the weather but please try to dress as close as possible to the policy.Thank you!

The lack of the specified attire and horse tack will not prohibit members and their guests from joining the hunt field and enjoying the sport.

  • Like your horse and tack, your attire should be proper, well-fitting, & neat.

  • Ladies: Longish Hair should be properly confined in a ponytail or braid under your hat. Jewelry is discouraged.

  • Red coats or shirts are strictly for Hunt Staff Only.

  • Helmets are required for all juniors (17 & under) and those riders jumping.
